Passphrase and password generator
Generated in your browser with the operating system's cryptographic random source, and never put in the URL, never sent anywhere, never logged. The entropy figure is the real one: how many bits of guessing an attacker faces, given they know exactly how this tool works.
Everything you type stays in this tab. Share copies a link, never your inputs, unless the tool says it encodes them in the URL.
The word list here holds 256 words, so each word is worth exactly 8 bits. Classic Diceware uses 7,776 words and is worth 12.9 bits a word, so a six-word Diceware phrase beats a six-word phrase from this list by about 29 bits. If you want the stronger version, use a full Diceware list with physical dice.
